The Stubby 3-Flute 1/4" Ball Nose has a 1" cut length with just a 2" overall length, making it the right choice for desktop CNCs with ER-11 collets. In both ER-11 and larger collets, the short OAL minimizes chatter. While we've paired it with a carving bit for roughing passes, this bit can handle any task calling for a ball nose.
