Ultra-Shear Carbide Insert Chamfer Bits are designed for routing clean 45° bevels while extending the useful life of the tool. Instead of replacing an entire chamfer bit when the cutters become dull, the cutting edges can be renewed by rotating the carbide inserts.

Each bit uses two square carbide inserts, and each insert features four sharpened edges, providing multiple cutting surfaces before replacement inserts are needed. 

The bits are available with either a 1/4" or 1/2" shank, allowing use in trim routers, handheld routers, and router table setups. Both versions feature a 45° cutting angle, a 1-1/8" cutting diameter, 5/16" cut length, and twin pilot bearings to guide the cut along the workpiece edge. 

Replaceable carbide insert technology, commonly used in metalworking and turning tools, makes routine maintenance simple. When a cutting edge wears, the insert is rotated rather than sharpened, reducing downtime and helping maintain consistent cutting geometry.
