Big Bowl Router Bits - Carbide Head - 3-Flute

You can use commercially available templates or make your own custom patterns. The beauty of pattern work with these bits is that what you see is what you get. Whatever size and shape your template, that's exactly what your project will look like.  There's no offset to contend with like there is when using template guide bushings. 

You can also extend the depth of a recess. Just follow the edge of the recess with the bearing and you'll make the pocket deeper and create a soft radius in the transition from side to bottom. 

Ultra-Shear borrowed a technique from metal-cutting tool companies to merge solid carbide spiral cutting efficiency with steel shank economy. Our "Carbide Head" bits have a solid carbide blank brazed to a steel shank. After the head is brazed on, the 3-flute spiral cutting pattern is ground to shape, just like our solid carbide spirals. The result is spiral cutting performance at prices that compete with carbide tipped bits.
