Not a Box of Parts! Fully Self-Contained.
It starts with 14-gauge cold rolled steel, laser-cut and computer-formed. All pieces are either zinc plated or powder-coated so you'll never worry about rust. The clever design of the extension arms gives you a range of template sizes from 20-1/4" to 52" The ratcheting knob at the bevel arm joint will give you the leverage you need for a secure grip but won't interfere with your walls.
Using the tool couldn't be easier. Just extend the arms and align the bevel gauges to the walls. Lock the angles and the extension arms and you have a perfect template for your shelf or stair component without ever touching a tape measure or angle finder. Now align the template to your material, mark and cut.
When the project calls for expensive material, like this 1-1/2" thick quartersawn white oak, you want a template tool that will hold its settings and get the transfer done accurately. It's even better when the right tool for the job is made here in America and priced competitively with plastic versions from overseas.
When the job is done the Stair Tread Template Tool folds up in seconds with no loose parts to track down or worry about.
Like all Woodpeckers products, the Stair Tread Template Tool is precisely machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility (just south of Cleveland).
