There's science behind it…

Take a look on the back side of the Collector Side magnetic port. You'll see another steel ring. The ring behind the magnets reinforces the magnetic attraction. When you place the Collector Side fitting onto a steel ring fitting, the magnet "sandwich" has 40 pounds of straight pull force. But, don't worry…just push the fittings apart at an angle, and they pop apart easily.

And every foot of pipe, elbow and machine drop reduces the effective air flow. But if you're moving your dust hose from machine to machine you want the kind of fast and secure connection MagQuick delivers. With a short section of flexible hose and a Machine-Side fitting on each machine in your shop, you can always have full CFM at each machine. If your machine doesn’t' have a factory-designed dust port, use the MagQuick Surface-Mount fitting to build one.

Guided Alignment. Reliable Seal.

The connection is engineered to guide itself into position and seal reliably once installed. An internal bevel at the joint helps align the two fittings as they come together, while the outer profile is shaped to slide into flexible hose without fighting it. A molded groove around the fitting gives your hose clamp a defined seat, helping create a consistent seal and keeping the hose from creeping loose over time. The fittings are injection-molded from high-strength ABS and offered in three configurations to match how you set up your system: Collector-Side, Machine-Side, and a Surface-Mount option for building custom ports.
