Woodpeckers new in-DEXABLE ThinRip Guide uses an incremental rack to provide perfectly repeatable 1/32" adjustments. Just get your setting close, and the interlocking rack teeth will finish the job. There's also a newly designed miter bar that works with any 3/8" x 3/4" nominal miter gauge slot…square-shouldered or T-shaped, new or old, spot-on perfect or worn from years of use. Now, usually when features get added to a product, the price goes up. But not this time. The in-DEXABLE ThinRip Guide is a fraction of the price of our original.
Trapping thin strips between the fence and the saw blade invites burning and kickbacks. ThinRip delivers your finished piece on the open side of your saw blade…safely and drama-free. Adjust the rip fence so the workpiece makes light contact with the bearings and make your cut. Repeat the process for as many identical pieces as you need. You can cut strips as thin as 1/32" and up to around 1-1/2" (depending on your saw).
The secret is the 1/32" spacing on the interlocking rack. Each step-over is precise. 1/2" is 1/2". 3/32" is 3/32". No guesswork and no "nudging". In the unlikely event that you need something "in between", loosen the screws that secure the ThinRip base to the miter bar and adjust without the help of the rack. When that job is done, calibrate to the saw blade again, and you're right back to working in perfect 32nds.
The in-DEXABLE ThinRip Guide is made from tough polycarbonate…the same plastic used in fighter jet canopies. The structure is heavily ribbed and reinforced for strength and durability.
