This one jig can handle them all.
Its versatility comes from the two adjustable plates which slide along a central beam. We machine the plates from highly durable phenolic that won't warp, bend, or crack due to the elements. Flip it over and you'll find sections of slotted aluminum track that serve three purposes. The tracks hold the adjustable plates perfectly square to the beam. They allow you to use convenient track clamps to clamp your workpiece from the front or the sides, keeping the clamps out of the way. And, the stainless-steel stops slide along the track so you can quickly index the edge of your board.
We engrave both inch and metric scales on the beam to set your handle's width. We also include inch and metric tracks on the underside of the jig to set the length of your handle. Adjusting the router template to your design's dimensions is simple with just a few knobs. You can set the opening to any width up to 7" (180 mm) and any length up to 5" (130 mm). Finally, you can start routing waste trays in your cutting board designs. With the Handle Jig Plus, you can use any router with a template guide bushing attachment. And while you can use any router bit that fits your design with the Handle Jig Plus, our 1" and 3/4" Deep Reach Bowl Bits clear out waste quickly while leaving glassy smooth finishes on the bottom and sides.
With each Handle Jig Plus we include a convenient wall-mountable Rack-It, keeping your tool right in plain sight and ready for your next project.
