Ipe Live Edge Slab - 48" x 14" x 1.25" - IPE-24-A

Ipe (Handroanthus spp.) is known for exceptional hardness and strength, along with substantial weight and density. Its heartwood is deep brown and may display olive or reddish undertones, giving each live edge slab its own natural appearance. Ipe is so heavy that it sinks in water.

These one-of-a-kind slabs are kiln-dried and thickness planed before sale. Width and length measurements are taken from the center of the board, and the listed thickness is subject to a +/-1/8 in. tolerance. Product photos are taken after the slabs are wiped with water to help show the grain pattern.

Because wood is a natural material, individual slabs may include checks or other inconsistencies. These natural characteristics are not considered defects. Each Ipe live edge slab offers a unique combination of color, grain, natural edges, and individual character for your next woodworking project.
