Without the Fat Head stop, this would still be a remarkable rule to have in your shop. We carefully finish the stainless-steel blade to a low-glare satin finish. The graduations are laser engraved to a tolerance of ±.004" total accumulated error. And, at just 1/32" thick, you’ll never deal with parallax error. But, with the Fat Head stop you have a tool that delivers unparalleled accuracy and exceptional ease-of-use.
Speaking of the stop, it is machined from a solid billet of aircraft grade aluminum on our state-of-the-art CNC milling centers. The joint between the rule and the stop is designed to position the stop exactly on the zero point of the rule. The 5/16" thick, 3" wide head provides a positive reference to your material.
We make the Fat Head Hook Rule in three lengths; 6", 12", and 18".
Like all Woodpeckers products, the Fat Head Hook Rules are precisely machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio, facility just south of Cleveland.
