American Walnut, Juglans nigra, is valued by woodworkers for its rich dark brown heartwood, creamy sapwood, dimensional stability, and ability to finish to a high sheen. This one-of-a-kind live edge slab is perfect for woodworking projects where the natural color, grain, and edge character of the board are part of the finished design.
These one-of-a-kind slabs are kiln-dried and thickness planed before sale. Width and length measurements are taken from the center of the board, and the listed thickness is subject to a +/-1/8 in. tolerance. Product photos are taken after the slabs are wiped with water to help show the grain pattern.
Because wood is a natural material, individual slabs may include checks or other inconsistencies. These natural characteristics are not considered defects. Each American Walnut live edge slab offers a unique combination of color, grain, natural edges, and individual character for your next woodworking project.
