When you've got a big project, removing the sled from the miter bar takes just seconds. They adjust to a wide range of material thickness and clamp firmly. We key-holed the steel fence so you can get the clamps out of the way when you're setting up and put them right where you need them when you're ready to cut.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMost woodworking taper projects\u003c\/strong\u003e are expressed in a certain amount of change over a given distance…what roofing framers call \"rise over run\". We've spaced the two scales on the Taper Sled exactly 24\" apart, which makes setting rise over run quick, easy and accurate. There's a web address in the owner's manual for a site where you can instantly convert angles stated in degrees to rise over run.
