We've made a special template guide bushing that's 1\" outside diameter and 7\/32” long. To make a template, simply shape a piece of 1\/4\" material 1\" narrower than where you want the center of your groove and stick it to your board with double-faced tape. Keep the template guide bushing against the edge of the template and move counter-clockwise around the template. It's that easy. Our special template guide bushing fits any router base that accepts Porter-Cable style guide bushings. If you want to use a cordless palm router, our StabilMax Trim Router Base accepts standard P-C guide bushings and gives you a more balanced footing than the OEM base plate. They also work flawlessly in CNCs of any size as well as the Shaper Origin.
