Use the 3\/8\" side to locate center of 3\/4\" stock for joinery or hardware installation. The base wraps around your stock for a positive, accurate reference. That wrap-around feature also lets you mark the face and edge at the same time. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWith a Delve Square in your pocket,\u003c\/strong\u003e you always have set-up blocks of 1\/8\", 1\/4\", 1\/2\" and 3\/4\" at your fingertips.  The blade is 1\/8\" thick and 1\/2\" wide. The base is 1\/4\" thick and 3\/4\" wide. Use whichever section you need for machinery set-up, joinery lay-out or other referencing chores.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eScales on the blade are engraved to an accuracy of ±0.004\"\u003c\/strong\u003e total accumulated error. To make accurate layout even easier, there are scribing guides milled every 1\/8\" along the blade. Just drop the tip of your pencil in the right hole and slide the base along the edge of your stock for perfectly parallel lines at the precise measurement you choose.
