Now, you can transfer critical dimensions with an exact physical reference. To secure the jaws, we engineered a dual-function nut that applies a rock-solid grip and squares the jaw to the blade. That means no slip and no wiggle when transferring critical dimensions. We lock the fixed jaw precisely at zero so you can slide the adjustable jaw out of the way and use BigCal as a T-square. And, we mill the tips of the outside jaws exactly 1\/8\" square, allowing you to register even the smallest slots or grooves.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNo more complicated dials\u003c\/strong\u003e or confusing fractions. We engraved the scales in both 1\/32\" and 1mm graduations. Turn BigCal over and you'll find the scales read from the opposite end. You can use this side to gauge the depth of a mortise or groove. The jaws on both are 2-1\/4\" deep for outside measurements and 3\/4\" for inside measurements.
